Berth 3 Port Hedland
RM has assisted TAMS in replacing the concrete deck at Berth 3, Port Hedland Port Authority. RM assessed concrete strength and provided cuts and lifting plans with rigging to remove the concrete in the largest panels possible to reduce cutting time and crane time.
RM designed access platforms to float in between piles under the deck and were chain blocked up to provide full access whilst the deck was removed.
Once the existing deck was removed the steel structure was repaired and partly repainted. Shelters were designed to assist with these works. Form and Re-bar was then installed and the new deck poured.
The first half has been completed in the first 8 week shut-down. TAMS are now into the second half. See link to promo sheet here
RM have designed access and lifting hooks to install the new fenders in future shut downs.
